As we all know, the skin is the largest organ of the human body that covers all the parts like the liver, heart, lungs, etc. There are various types of skins depending upon the region or environmental conditions that you live in. Some people have dry skin, oily skin, normal skin, etc. Using the same kind of cleansers or creams for all skin types may cause many skin related problems such as acne and many more.
First of all, you should be aware of your skin type so that you can use products that are good for your skin.
There are a few methods for determination of skin type:
Wipe your face gently with a tissue- After washing your face wait for an hour and then swab your T-zone (your forehead and nose) along with a tissue. You should look at the tissue after swabbing the face to see whether the tissue has oil or not. If it has, then you have an oily or combination skin type.
A glance at the mirror- if you see red patches all over your face then you have dry skin but if it shines then you may have oily skin or a combination.
Pinch your skin- after pinching your skin if your skin wrinkles then you will have Dry skin.
Skincare tips for each type
For oily skin
If you have oily skin then you should use a cleanser for cleaning your face every time when you return home. Because a cleanser helps to remove excess oil from the face.
You should also keep washing your face and use the products that make your skin oil-free.
For dry skin
If you have dry skin then you should apply moisturizer. Do not use soap all over the skin, use it to clean the dirty areas.
